Although we are a business that does a huge amount to fight poverty and climate change, we are not a charity. However, we have recently set up a separate charity (Pi Foundation) so that we can maximise the impact of all the work we do and help even more people get involved. All of this work will go towards supporting the charitable work we do with and for the farming and factory communities that we support in India and very soon in other countries around the world.
FUNDRAISING:
All profits from our pants events and £1 per pair/pack of pants bought online, are donated to Pi Foundation. However, you can also get involved by joining us this year in New York for their world famous Marathon! We’re bringing together a team of c. 30 people to run all 26.2 miles in our latest range of pants!
CHILD LABOUR FREE SEEDS:
We are now helping our partners in India to set up the world’s first farmer owned cotton seed trading company. At first glance, this might not seem very important but the terrible fact is that in India, well over 90% of cotton seeds are now genetically modifiedand grown in a way that keeps over 400,000 children trapped in forced labour and out of school. This just isn’t right! People have campaigned about this for many years but through this work, we will be able to establish a new model for organic cotton seeds that is 100% child labour free!
